I’ve put a lot of effort into setting up and producing this blog & podcast; hopefully you like the results.


If so, maybe you’d like to help out a little — but don’t worry, I won’t hit you up for money! There are lots of things you can do to help spread the word about SOS — and most of them won’t cost you a cent.




Tell a friend
OK, this is an obvious one — if you like SOS, please just tell a friend. Or two. Or three. Or, heck — tell your whole family!




Blog / podcast reviews
One great way to help spread the word about SOS is to post a review of it on the podcast’s iTunes directory page. Through some complicated and secret mathematical formula, more positive rankings of a podcast translate into higher-positioned listings for the podcast, which results in more listeners finding their way to it.


You can also help by commenting on, or better yet, voting for the SOS podcast at Podcast Alley. Again, your votes help get the podcast more visibility, and your comments help other people decide whether or not SOS is their cup of tea. Podcast Alley clears all its vote totals on the first of each month, so you know what they say — vote early, vote often!




Social bookmarks / networking
A ridiculous number of social networking sites are available these days, and it’s a free & easy way to recommend things to your friends. For the time being (at least), I’m just concentrating on a few of them.


If you use del.icio.us to store & share bookmarks, SOS is here, and you can easily add me to your network.

Click on it, and (if you have JavaScript enabled), you’ll get a small window with your choice of a number of social bookmarking services, as well as a window for sending a link to the post in an email.




Capitalism
If you’d like to toss a few cents my way to help pay for server fees and the like, I think you should get something out of it too. I’ve set up an SOS store on CafePress, if you’d like to buy doodads and trinkets with the SOS logo on them (stickers, hats, and such).
