Casual Friday — cutting metals, in slow-motion

A 6-minute video (apparently by the machine tool company Iscar) showing a variety of metals being cut by tools with a variety of coatings (direct link):

I’ll bet you’d never thought that machining could be so mesmerizing. Any time you run across a machined metal part (as part of your car’s drivetrain, or really in a variety of everyday places), processes just like this are behind their creation.
