Casual Friday — an alien’s eye(s) view of the solar system

Courtesy of astrophysicist Marc Kuchner (NASA, Goddard Space Flight Center), a simulation of what our solar system would look like to an alien astronomer.

The video was created from simulations of dust grains and their collisions in the Kuiper Belt, way out in the inky black past Neptune’s orbit (but including much of Pluto’s). More info in the accompanying NASA press release.
