Casual Friday — Excalibur

Unmanned aircraft seem to be all the rage these days in military circles — they let you do a variety of things while not risking your own peoples’ lives. A new one called Excalibur is now in the works for the U.S. Army and Navy. Rather than being one of the usual types (a helicopter, or prop-driven fixed wing aircraft), it uses the combination of lifting fans and a tilting turbojet to allow it to hover, take off and land vertically, or fly at 460 miles per hour (740 km/h).
