Casual Friday — fly the world in 72 seconds

With the holidays coming up, a lot of people will be flying somewhere over the course of the next few weeks. To put the volume of air travel in perspective, some bright folks at the Zurich School of Applied Sciences decided to simulate a representative day’s worth of air travel in a 72 second piece of video:

For some reason, I think this video is absolutely mesmerizing — even ‘though it has no real practical value.
